1Choose the activity level that best reflects your typical daily routine outside of exercise and sports. This setting will be used in conjunction with gender, age, height and weight to determine the number of calories you can consume each day to maintain your weight (aka. Calorie Baseline) The majority of our members choose Desk bound / Sitting or Lightly Active. If you are stuck trying to choose between two levels, we suggest you pick the least active level. This will result in a more conservative Calorie Baseline calculation, which is desirable in most situations.

Choosing an activity level

  • Desk-bound / Sitting — At work, you spend most of your day at a desk or drive a vehicle with few opportunities to move around. At home, you tend to spend most of your time sitting. You are engaged in light housework an hour or less on most days. (Physically active or moving 20% or less during waking hours.)
  • Lightly Active — At work, you are frequently up and moving. At home, you tend to keep busy with light housework or outdoor chores for several hours each day. (Physically active or moving 20 - 40% during waking hours.)
  • Active — At work, you are up and moving most of the day. At home, you are doing moderate housework and/or outdoor chores with very little sitting or downtime. (Physically active or moving 40 - 60% during waking hours.)
  • Very Active — At work, you are constantly on the move, performing heavy, physical work. At home, you are always on the move and engaged in heavy housework and/or outdoor chores for most of the day. (Physically active or moving 60 - 80% during waking hours.)
I just had to pass along a note to you guys and say that this is one beautiful app!... The demo video showed that Graphite is very intuitive and easy-to-use, which is far more than I can say for other tracking apps I have used.
